Volunteer your time and skills and help make a difference in the community today! You have the opportunity to help rebuild and change the homes and lives of those in the near-west side.

Hearts & Hands is only able to carry out our mission thanks to the dedicated efforts of our volunteers. While we have a need for basic volunteer efforts when doing rehab work on our houses, we also have many skilled volunteer opportunities for those who have specific skills that relate to our mission.

Here's a quick look at the ways you can get involved in helping our families and our neighborhood! If you believe you have a specific skill to offer Hearts & Hands, please fill out the form or email info@heartsandhandsindy.org to find out how you can help!

Construction/Rehab:
Are you a skilled tradesperson with experience in roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, general carpentry, or any other aspect of home rehabilitation? If so, please consider donating some time and/or materials to our projects.

Midweek Volunteer Group:
If you're free during the regular 9-to-5 workweek and want to help out at our houses, consider joining our ongoing volunteer group that meets regularly to work on a variety of construction projects.

Good Neighbor Committee:
Help us plan and participate in various volunteer projects!

Site Supervisor:
Love leading volunteer groups? Sign up to be a site supervisor and help us host various volunteer groups from around the city.

Event Committee:
If you're looking for a way to put your event planning skills to use, join our Event Committee! We host one major fundraising event in August (Houses to Homes) and a handful of smaller events throughout the year. We'd love to have you join us!

Family Support Liaison:
If you're looking for a way to interact with the families we serve, consider becoming a Family Support Liaison*. Our liaisons connect with clients on a monthly basis (on average) to provide education and insight on skills such as budgeting, credit building, and money management. Liaisons help our clients procure necessary social and/or financial services that prepare clients for homeownership.

*Liaisons must complete the archdiocese's online Safe & Sacred training before meeting with their first client.

Office Support:
The Hearts & Hands office team is always looking for volunteers who are available during the days to donate 1-5 hours every month or two to assist with mailings.
